Lives for sales

Why would you want to sell your life? Presumably because you don’t want it anymore and want a fresh start. If it’s not good enough for you, why would anybody else want it?
Apparently for an Australian guy it was separation from his wife that made him decide to sell his life. Including his house and car and even his job and friends.
Is selling your life on EBay the new cyber version of suicide?
